Udio extends the delight and convenience of seamless digital transactions to Crownit

Mumbai, June 07, 2016: Known for its seamless, swift, social and secure payments solutions, Udio – India’s first social wallet – has added Crownit, a leading merchant discovery & privileges platform, to the growing repertoire of leading industry players leveraging its white-labelled solutions. The move will grant Crownit access to Udio’s robust framework to facilitate greater transactional convenience for its users.

The latest announcement underlines Udio’s position as the preferred payments solution provider for businesses and merchants throughout the country. The wallet is already being leveraged by industry players such as BookMyShow, Portea, Askmebazaar.com & more, in addition to a host of smaller merchants and Facebook stores.

Speaking on the announcement, Aditya Gupta, COO, Udio, said, “At Udio, our primary focus has always been on enhancing the consumer payments experience through technology. This is why we have integrated with several partners who are focussed on driving value for consumers. With today’s digitally-empowered consumer constantly looking for greater value within their service experience, we are pleased to see the ready adoption of this integration by Crownit users due to the enhanced simplicity and convenience that it offers.”

Since its integration with Udio, Crownit has witnessed a 300% month-on-month growth in transactions through its platform. The propensity of users conducting frequent transactions through the app is very high. Being an app-only platform, the integration of a wallet within the Crownit app has enhanced the ease of such transactions.

Sameer Grover, Founder & CEO, Crownit, added, “Crownit is dedicated to make life simpler for its users by allowing them to explore deals and offers for local businesses. We not only gratify users with crowns which are a part of our business approach, but have now made the payments experience on our platform extremely convenient by bringing in Udio as partner. This allows consumers to easily complete payments, which benefits us by driving repeat transactions and greater customer delight.”

To use Udio to make a payment, Crownit users can simply select ‘Wallet’ from the available payment options and sign up for a new wallet using their mobile number and email address. Existing Udio users can link their wallets to their Crownit account to make their Udio wallet balance available on the Crownit app. Users can then use the available balance to make purchases without exposing their critical financial information such as card details and account numbers.
